Dr. Basanagoud received Ph.D. in peptide synthesis from Bangalore University and moved to National University of Singapore (NUS) for post-doctoral research. He carried 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience both in Medicinal Chemistry and Process Chemistry research. He developed manufacturing process for several bulk drugs and key intermediates including Gabapentin, Iron polymaltose complex (IPC), Repaglinide etc., and transferred the technology to production plant successfully while working in Recon India Ltd and Syngene International Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Basanagoud led a large group of Medicinal Chemistry team during the 13 years at Curia(8 years at AMRI Singapore and 5 years at Curia (formerly AMRI) Hyderabad). Dr. Basanagoud handled several Medicinal Chemistry projects in the area of hit to lead, lead optimization and big library molecules synthesis programs. Dr. Basanagoud is an innovative scientist and expertise in the design of scaffolds and synthetic routes to drug discovery.
